Comments: I discovered Cold Busted via 8DPromo campains and i’m really happy get them backin our global 8DPromo family. The mostly downtempo, hip hop with lot of soul samplers and electronic bleed beats break the chains this release. Bobby C Sound TV, the man behind Spaceflight Orchestra, follows the label’s checks but over the usual bpm that we expect from Cold Busted. Clever, old or new samplers dancing with electronic or disco elements perfectly during the album is playing. The synths eighties with the latin horns reshaping of ”Out Of Headspace” by and with Drop Logic is amazing – the original track was one of my most played downtempo tracks of 2010 in my radio show. ”Disco Godfather” is a floor dynamite and well known vocal sampler of ”Times Of Trouble” will fix of the problems for sure. Imagine Duran Duran meets Happy Mondays meets NYC meets Ibiza meets Indeep meets Falco meet Daft Punk. If you will not spin, buy or break this probaly you will the biggest jerk of the year !!! Comments: As a whole all the songs have great ideas, I wish some of them had more focus and some had more parts to take them to the next level. Times of Trouble is a great example of Bobby’s newer uptempo approach and Headway reminds of his older “headier” material and sounds. I thought Sunlighter started great but lost steam along the way, Disco Godfather seems like it could take on Barbra Streisand but seemed like it needed more of the middle part and less of the “everybody” sample. But great release from Bobby none the less. Times of Trouble and Headway won for me. Respect
